Intern Responsibilities and Tasks:

Interns will assist our staff with a combination of administrative and analytical duties:

  • Manage content on the LTI website
  • Write articles for internal news briefs, client alerts, and quarterly newsletters
  • Assist with the organization of ongoing projects such as publications and seminars
  • Collect information for industry-specific market research projects
  • Translate or summarize articles and reports to support client services
  • Assist in the development of internal and external training materials
  • Special projects may also be assigned  to an intern, depending on the needs of the office and the abilities of      the intern to complete the project

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED OR RECOMMENDED:

The following qualifications are sought:

  • Studies: Pursuing a degree in International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Business, Marketing,      Languages, or a related field; (Note: Students in technical majors also may apply but should have an interest in international relations.)
  • Education: Completion of secondary school; currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student; (Note: Preference given to graduate students due to complexity of work.)
  • Languages:
    • Chinese: Basic Chinese
    • English: Fluency in speaking, listening, reading and writing
  • Knowledge/Abilities/Skills: Familiar  with MS Office, Conduct and summarize research using public sources,   Resourcefulness, Adaptability

APPLICATION PROCEDURES:

The application language is in English, but interviews may be conducted in English and Chinese depending on your Chinese ability. Interested applicants should submit:

  • A Statement of Interest describing the  applicant’s objectives and motivations in seeking an internship with LTI  (max 1 page),
